National cost ranges, labeled as estimates
These figures are U.S. national estimates, not Spokane statistics and not quotes. Spokane Water Damage Co does not perform the work. Independent contractors set their own prices.
Source: Angi, How Much Does Flooded Basement Cleanup Cost? (2026 data), updated October 14, 2026. Figures are national project totals paraphrased from that article. They are not invoices from the Spokane area. This table does not use a per-square-foot rate, because the per-square-foot lines in that article do not agree with each other.
| What Angi describes | National range |
| Most flooded basement cleanup projects | $2,000 to $7,000, average about $4,000 |
| Clean water, such as a broken supply line | $1,500 to $3,500 |
| Gray water from appliances, showers, or sinks | $3,000 to $7,000 |
| Sewage or heavily contaminated water | $7,000 to $15,000 |
| Small basement, minor flooding (about 500 sq ft in their example) | $1,500 to $3,800 |
| Large basement, severe damage (about 2,000 sq ft in their example) | $6,000 to $15,000 |
Rebuilding finished walls and floors is often billed apart from pumping and drying. Mold that is already growing can be another invoice. See mold after water damage and the cost and insurance page.
Sewage and standing water
Do not treat sewage, or water that came up a floor drain, like tap water. It is a health risk, and the materials it soaks often have to be thrown out rather than dried in place. If the water is near outlets or the electrical panel, stay out of it. Shutting the power off only helps if you can do it from a dry location without touching the water.
What to write
- About how deep the water is, and whether it is still rising.
- Pipe, appliance, floor drain, sump, or water from outside.
- Finished or unfinished, and what is sitting in the water.
- Whether you have photos. Take them only if you can do that without entering unsafe water.
The service area includes Spokane, Spokane Valley, Liberty Lake, Cheney, Mead, Airway Heights, and Deer Park. Travel is still the contractor's decision.
